Bring your Social, Well-Mannered dog for our Dog Blessing and Mass. Stay for food, fellowship & fun! Enjoy a complimentary picnic plate and get to know the Friendly Folks of St. Mark’s Church.
*For Everyone’s Safety, all dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, short-leashed& under the control of their pet-parent at all times-only FRIENDLY and Social dogs are invited, if your dog is aggressive or does not like other dogs or people, please contact us for other blessing options.

The History of Barks at St. Mark's
Every summer since 2008, St. Mark's has held an annual event we call "Barks at St. Mark's" where the community is invited to bring man's best friend to enjoy an animal-friendly mass and the blessing of the dogs. The event is held the second Sunday in June. The last couple of years we have been honored to welcome over a hundred dogs and more than 150 family members, plus the occasional cat or bird.
The tradition began in 2008 with an indoor "blessing of the dogs." We moved it outside to the front lawn in 2009 and every year since. Guests have the opportunity to view booths from local businesses that cater to pets and even to meet the police dog from local Police and Sheriff's Deptartments. The pictures below are from various year's events. We hope to continue this tradition for many years to come.
